General Motors is currently testing a new CNG powertrain for use in 2012, and it's already proving to be a popular choice with both drivers and critics alike. Compressed natural gas is produced by, well... compressing natural gas to less than one percent of the volume that it would otherwise occupy. It's then stored for later use and distributed in a spherical container. One of the best aspects of compressed natural gas, aside from its cheaper price tag, is the fact that it releases fewer emissions, making it an alternative fuel form that makes sense to choose in almost every way possible.

"We listened and we are going to move fast to bring a bi-fuel CNG product to market to meet our customer's needs.
