Chevrolet Corvette Fetches Hefty Sum at Charity Auction

If there's one thing that we here at Copple Chevrolet GMC love to see, it's people coming out to support a great cause. Of course, it can only get better when you add the Chevrolet Corvette into the mix. And that's exactly what happened at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction.

Specifically, the Corvette that hit the auction block wasn't just any run-of-the-mill model. It was the all-new 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible; a new variant of the lauded sports car that honors its 60th anniversary, as well as the last production model in the C6 generation of the Corvette.

How much did the winning bidder wind up paying? Something to the tune of $600,000. As for the cause it went to... That would be fighting hunger; a worthwhile one if you ask us.

Great causes aside, we're guessing that you want to know exactly why this special-edition Corvette was able t snag so much dough, right? The coveted 427 engine hasn't been featured in a Corvette convertible since the 1960s, so if you ask us the price was well worth it.

Of course, you can count on the fact that you won't have to pay an arm and a leg to that extent when you finance a Corvette, or any other new Chevrolet for that matter (i.e., the Colorado, Equinox, and Impala). After all, here at 306 Main St Louisville, NE 68037, we're not just dedicated to keeping you informed, but also satisfied as a customer... Though if you want to help a good cause on the side, we're not going to stop you either.
